That little nugget, be it 20 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour that has been carved out for you. Perhaps you will spend the time soaking in the tub, reading a good book, running, doing yoga, crafting, baking... it is time in your calendar where the pressure comes off and you do what you want to in your heart of hearts in the moment.
I can already hear you laughing at me, or saying, I don't have time for that! I challenge back that the time is there, you just need to claim it and protect it for you. Perhaps it is 30 minutes during nap time, swimming lessons, after bedtime etc.
What would happen if you claimed and protected 30 minutes of white space today? How would you feel before? How would you feel after? How would it impact the next couple days or week?
For me, a little white space is like a makeover. At the beginning I am a little nervous, 'How am I going to best use this time to my advantage?!?!?!' But after I relax into it and turn off my brain, I am rejuvenated, relaxed and in-touch with me. It allows me to be the very best Mamma, wife, sister, daughter, coach, runner, and person that I can be.
Imagine if you carved out 30 minutes of white space today? How could you show up as a Mamma, friend, partner....?
