No service. The world slows around you - there is no current news, current events, phone calls, emails or social media connection.
This past weekend I went away to a cabin where these two words 'No Service' I admit scared me a bit at first, but ended up being the highlight of the weekend.
After I spent 15 minutes walking around every corner of the property looking for a spot with signal, I gave up and turned my phone off. Turning my phone off, living with No Service, was empowering. I didn't have to worry about staying connected or being interrupted, I found it incredibly easier to engage 100% with my family, to be in the moment, and to enjoy our weekend away.
After reflection I have decided to challenge myself to turning off my electronics every Sunday morning, and having a No Service family morning each week.
When was the last time you had No Service?
