When I lived in Sweden, a wise Mamma gave me a piece of advice from her Mamma when she found out I was pregnant. She said, "No matter what weather Stockholm throws at you, get that baby and yourself outside each and every, single day! It will do all of you a world of good."
Today, as my family is recovering from a bug, I bundled everyone up and headed outside for a short walk. It did us all a world of good - we all had a great nap after our walk, had smiles on our faces, and my toddler had a renewed love of her toys when we got back inside. It is amazing how something so small can make such a difference in everyone's mood and perspective.
My commitment to combat the winter blahs is to bundle my family up, no matter what the weather, and get them outside every day for some fresh air and a fresh perspective.
What one thing shifts your perspective during the winter months? How can you incorporate it into your day to combat those winter blahs?
