Here is a simple exercise to get started:
1. Think of a time(s) in your life when you were your most confident self.
2. What made you feel confident? (Perhaps there were some physical, intellectual, emotional, or spiritual factors?)
For me, blowdrying my hair, having gone for a jog in the morning, and making sure I eat regularly through the day sends my confidence soaring.
3. Make a collage or word art of all those things that build your confidence and display it where you can see it throughout your day. (Perhaps take a picture with your phone so you have it with you always.)
4. How can you leverage those rituals and activities to minimize that roadblock and increase confidence in your return to work?
