As I sat there looking at our picture, I realized I was limiting myself. Why can't the trees be orange, pink, purple or blue? Why not let my imagination run completely wild?
As we grow and learn about the world the box that everything fits in becomes tighter and tighter, sharper and sharper.
So today I took a very uncomfortable leap (surprisingly uncomfortable) I made a multiple-coloured tree, and a pink shrub.
My point? In times of transition and as life gets busier and the box tighter we actually need to breakdown the walls of the box. We need to colour with all the crayons and explore the most creative solutions possible. Maybe they aren't the norm (the green and brown tree) but they are what is going to work for us, personally. Transition is unique and individual.
Let's colour outside the box.
