As I relived the moment, gratitude swelled inside of me and I couldn't help but sit up straighter and allow the smile to creep across my face.
Today, I want to challenge each of you to take a moment and think of one thing that you are grateful for in your everyday life. (Try very hard not to let that smile creep across your face as you do it ;). Perhaps you might consider doing it again tomorrow, and then the next day, and the next.
During challenging moments (read: anger, tears, disappointment) gratitude truly saves the day, however I believe it is something that we must practice each and everyday so that when those challenging moments arise it is eager, ready and prepared to swoop in and help us take a step in the right direction.
