Failure and imperfection is something I have always struggled with throughout my life. Today, I work to intentionally celebrate my imperfections. Since my daughter was born, I have put even more work into this area. I want her to know that imperfections are beautiful, and the best way for her to learn, in my opinion, is through role modelling.
During the winter, I participated in an art journalling course led by Brene Brown. During the program she asked us to take a selfie, writing on our hand, "I am imperfect and I am enough." A powerful statement. (Consider snapping this shot and posting it somewhere meaningful.)
As Mamma's, life continues to get busier and busier with each passing day. It is so easy to get down on ourselves for how we are balancing being a Mamma, partner, employee, team member, friend, etc.
Today and for everyday going forward, let's celebrate those imperfections.
What will you do today to celebrate your imperfect self?
